I’m Athénaïs Host, a French filmmaker and passionate storyteller currently based in Bristol, England. I moved to the UK in 2019 and have been studying Film and Television at Boomsatsuma College, where I’ve been developing my voice as a director and creative.
I’m driven by a love for cinema that is rooted in authenticity, exploration, and social meaning. I believe film is one of the most powerful tools we have to tell stories that matter—stories that can challenge perspectives, amplify voices, and inspire real change
On this website, you’ll find a curated selection of my work—from short documentaries and narrative films to experimental pieces and personal projects. Each video represents a different step in my creative journey and reflects my ongoing exploration of identity, belief, and humanity.
In 2025, I had the incredible opportunity to attend the Cannes Film Festival as part of the Ecumenical Jury. During this time, I watched 32 films across 10 days.
