My Work

“Stepping Up My Spine” – Nothing Rhymes With Orange
About the Song
“Stepping Up My Spine” by Nothing Rhymes With Orange captures the feeling of a deep, rising energy, of something that travels through you like a surge along your spine. Symbolically, it evokes courage, determination, and an intense internal drive. The song builds in intensity, reflecting emotions that push you forward and make you feel alive.
The video brings the song to life through raw, immersive visuals of the band performing with full intensity. It blends live performance, artistic lighting, smoke effects, and dynamic camera work to mirror the emotional rise and power of the track. The aesthetic emphasizes energy, tension, and the personal connection between the band and their music.
I was involved in every stage of the project : pre-production, production, and post-production. My responsibilities included:
  • Acting as the main communication bridge between the band and the crew
  • Organising all shots, studios, and locations, as well as managing casting calls
  • Taking part in actual shooting: filming with different lenses, helping with lighting, set building, smoke machines, and guiding the band in artistic direction and performance
  • Researching the band and their aesthetic to inform visual decisions
  • Editing the final video
This project gave me a taste of the real world of music video production as we were thrown into it with minimal guidance, and I learned to balance fun with serious responsibility. It taught me communication, organisation, problem-solving, and creativity under pressure.
“Stepping Up My Spine” is one of my favourite projects because I was able to fully immerse myself in all aspects of the creative process. I had so much fun while carrying meaningful responsibilities, and seeing the final result come together was incredibly rewarding. It was a formative experience that strengthened my skills in teamwork, leadership, and practical filmmaking.

Study Leave – Horror film

About the film
Study Leave is a short horror film I created with my group during the summer of 2024. The story follows a student alone at home during exam season who encounters increasingly terrifying events that blur the line between reality and nightmare. The film blends suspense, practical horror effects, and immersive storytelling to create a tense, gripping experience for viewers.

For this project, my team and I developed the concept from scratch: we wrote the script, designed the scenario, and created the story. I was involved in all stages of production, from pre-production documentation to post-production editing. My responsibilities included:
Collaborating with the team to develop ideas and characters
Organising locations, sets, and costumes
Filming, handling sound, and assisting with lighting and camera work
Creating horror makeup and prosthetics, including blood effects
Editing and helping shape the final narrative

This project reinforced my love for collaborative work, as I enjoy bringing ideas to life and contributing positively to a team’s dynamic. It was a challenging shoot, but it taught me problem-solving, adaptability, and practical filmmaking skills. Every challenge became a learning opportunity that strengthened my experience in real-world film production. Study Leave remains one of my most formative projects, combining creativity, technical skills, and teamwork in a way that truly shaped my growth as a filmmaker.
Vintage Thrift Store – Fashion for All (Ad Project)
About the video

This video is an advertisement created by my team for The Vintage Thrift Store in Bristol. The ad promotes the idea that fashion should be inclusive, accessible, and fun with “something for everyone” while targeting young people who love unique, sustainable style. Visually, the video showcases a variety of outfits, personalities, and vintage pieces, all styled to reflect cool vibes, creativity, and individuality. The editing, music choices, and pacing were designed to feel fresh and energetic, capturing attention while celebrating thrift culture.

Our main theme was fashion as self-expression for all. We wanted to communicate that vintage clothing isn’t just old clothes; it’s a way to explore personal style, be eco-friendly, and have fun with what you wear. The ad emphasises inclusivity, personality, sustainability, and youth appeal which are values that are very important to my group and I.

My group and I needed to search for clients related to our original idea. Contacting stores to ask if we could make an advert for them was a challenging task. We reached out by email and in person to multiple businesses, which was tough and sometimes intimidating, but taught us how to sell ourselves, explain our vision, and build professional communication skills. Eventually, The Vintage Thrift Store agreed to work with us, and that gave us an opportunity to learn even more about professional collaboration.
Once we had their approval, we did detailed research on the store: its values, audience, aesthetic, and messaging. This helped us make creative decisions that reflected the brand’s voice and made the advert feel authentic rather than generic.
I was involved in every stage of the process:
  • Filming scenes of outfits, people, and locations
  • Finding locations and organising shots
  • Helping with creative direction and camera work
  • Communicating with the team and the store throughout
  • Editing the final advert
This project was one of my first real experiences in creating work for an external client. It helped me build confidence in communication, learn how to manage setbacks, and grow as a collaborator while having fun and creatively expressing ideas that matter.
Portrait Documentary – Le Livre de la Vérité
About the video
This portrait documentary is one of my only independent projects which I enjoyed doing a lot. This is an intimate exploration of my father, focusing both on who he is and the book that he was writing at the time called Le livre de la Vérité (The Book of Truth). Through observational footage and carefully composed B-roll, the film highlights his craft while revealing what it represents to me on a personal level.
Created in December 2023, this project marked a turning point in my creative journey. It was through this film that I discovered my passion for documentary filmmaking, particularly the joy of capturing meaningful B-roll, choosing a subject that genuinely matters to me, and shaping a narrative rooted in authenticity. I especially enjoyed researching the target audience and defining the appropriate documentary style to best serve the theme and subject.I also explored the process of translation by creating English-to-French subtitles, a skill made possible by my fluency in both languages.
Beyond its technical and creative aspects, this project strengthened my relationship with my father. By showcasing his work and story, the documentary became both a creative exercise and a deeply personal experience. This project confirmed my desire to continue developing my practice in documentary filmmaking and to pursue more portrait-driven stories in the future.
Drunken Lens – Stop-Motion Animation Project
About the video
Drunken Lens is a collaborative stop-motion animation project created using a mixed-media, hands-on process. Starting from live-action video footage, we broke the sequence down into individual frames, transformed them into printed photographs, and intervened directly on the images through drawing. Each altered frame was then re-photographed under varying coloured lighting to create a distorted, unstable visual rhythm.
The project explores perception, movement, and transformation through its experimental workflow. Alongside the visuals, we composed and produced an original soundtrack, allowing sound and image to evolve together and reinforcing the immersive, disorienting effect suggested by the title. Through this project, I gained practical experience in stop-motion animation, frame-by-frame storytelling, lighting experimentation, and collaborative creation. Drunken Lens reflects my interest in tactile filmmaking processes and in pushing visual language beyond conventional animation techniques.
